India vs England 2nd test full highlights : What a fantastic team India . India beat England by 151 runs in the second test match. It is the third win for India at Lord's venue and 8th test win in England. On 5th day in the morning India was only hoping to save the test match from England but SHAMI and Bumrah partnership of 89 gave an opportunity to team India to win the test match . India took a 1-0 in the 5 match test series. In was not able to win first test match due to obstacle of rain. This happened for the first time that both the England openers were dismissed for zero against India.
The second Test between India and England was won by India by 151 runs at Lord's on Monday. India won for the third time in 19 Tests at the 'house of cricket,' dismissing England for just 120 on a fairly docile wicket. Mohammed Siraj took 4 for 32 as India won for the third time in 19 Tests at the 'home of cricket.' After a rain-affected tie at Trent Bridge, India now leads the five-match series 1-0. After Ajinkya Rahane's 61, India's tailenders Mohammed Shami (56 not out) and Jasprit Bumrah (34 not out) had an unbroken 89-run stand before skipper Virat Kohli declared his side's second innings on 298/8 shortly after lunch on Monday's final day.
Bumrah and Shami then attacked with the ball, dismissing England openers Rory Burns and Dom Sibley for ducks before Bumrah took the prize wicket of England captain Joe Root for 33 runs. On 120, England lost their last three wickets, with an overjoyed Siraj, who took eight wickets in the Test overall, bowling James Anderson for a duck to end the match. KL Rahul scored a superb 129 in India's first-innings 364 total, which included 83 from fellow opener Rohit Sharma and 5-62 from England's Anderson. The third Test begins on August 25 at Headingley in Leeds.
VIRAT KOHLI in match presentation: The Indian captain, Virat Kohli, approaches with a wide grin on his face. He expresses his admiration for the entire crew for sticking to their plans. The pitch, he adds, didn't provide much for the bowlers. Additionally, he praised Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami for their performance in the second innings. They shared their opinion that they could bowl England out in 60 overs. When asked why the Lord's Long Room gave Shami and Bumrah a standing ovation, Kohli said it's necessary to celebrate what they achieved and that it's difficult for them because of the way they batted. Both Shami and Bumrah were pumped up at the start, and they brought them the first two wickets. They sought to enhance their lower-order batting, and this was one of the priorities, on which the batting coach has worked diligently. Feels as if their belief was lacking, but now they are motivated to do their best for the team. Those were precious runs, according to him, and they helped them win. Mentions that he was a member of the winning side as a player under MS Dhoni at Lord's last time, but this one to obtain a result in 60 overs is extremely special, especially with someone like Mohammed Siraj playing his first Test match here. Kohli smiles when asked about the audience's support, saying that it wasn't the same for the first four days, but that in the second half on Day 5, the crowd rallied behind them, which is vital. The triumph came a day after Independence Day, but it's the nicest gift they can give the people back home. They sign off by stating that they will not rest on their laurels. When asked how he chooses to take the DRS, Kohli said he prefers to trust his intuition and is willing to accept responsibility. You'll never know if you don't take a chance, she believes.
Joe root in match presentation: The English captain, Joe Root, thinks it's bad that they didn't manage to complete 60 overs, which is disheartening. In the next three games, the batters will be coming hard, he says. Root accepts responsibility, claiming that a lot hinged on him and that, tactically, he should have done a better job as captain this morning. Mentions that he needs to do a lot of learning in order to better and be ready for the next time a circumstance like this arises. They didn't get many things incorrect, and only a few things went somewhat wrong, according to them. Mark Wood and Moeen Ali both performed admirably, with the former injuring himself but remaining competitive. It's terrific to see Moeen back and to see him enjoying his game, he adds. They claim that they are used to playing 5-match series and that they have been in this scenario before and recovered. The crowd is praised for their attendance, and it's fantastic to see them again.
